the $1 200 Workshop If applying to the AEGD plan for the non-refundable workshop fee plus travel to Hialeah. This is the highest admissions-stage fee of any program in our guide. Articulate Why UF Over Nova Nova Southeastern also has an international dental program in Florida. Be ready to explain why UF s specific pathway is the right fit for your goals. Bring All Original Documents For the DMD interview UF may verify documents in person. Have your dental degree transcripts TOEFL scores credential evaluation and licensure documentation organized. Apply to Both Programs The programs evaluate independently. Applying to both maximizes your chances without any downside to your candidacy in either program. Hialeah (October – November) with $1 200 fee Complete bench test component during AEGD workshop Await decisions from both programs independently If accepted to both make strategic choice based on career goals and licensure needs Can international dentists on F-1 or J-1 visas apply to UF? No. Both the DMD and AEGD programs are restricted to US citizens and permanent residents. Applicants on temporary visas (F-1 J-1 H-1B etc.) are not eligible for either program. This is a hard institutional policy. Does UF require the DAT for the AEGD program? No. The DAT is required only for the 4-year DMD program. The AEGD program does not require the DAT. However the AEGD does require INBDE completion. Can I apply to both the DMD and AEGD programs simultaneously? Yes. The programs use different application systems (CAAPID for DMD ADEA PASS for AEGD) and evaluate independently. Applying to one does not affect your candidacy for the other. Does the AEGD

certificate allow me to practice outside Florida? No. The AEGD certificate qualifies you for Florida dental board eligibility only. If you want to practice in other states you would need to pursue additional credentials or a degree-granting program. Why is the AEGD workshop fee $1 200? The $1 200 fee covers the full Admissions Workshop day including the bench test component materials and faculty evaluation time. It is the highest admissions-stage fee of any program in our guide and is non-refundable regardless of the outcome. Does UF accept MyBest TOEFL scores? No. UF requires your TOEFL score to come from a single test sitting. MyBest (superscore) TOEFL scores are not accepted. The minimum is 80 iBT or 4.0 on the new TOEFL scale. DMD Applicant 2025 Cycle The DAT was the hardest part of my UF application. I spent three months studying organic chemistry and biology — subjects I hadn t touched since my undergraduate years in Brazil. But

the interview itself was warm and conversational. AEGD Applicant 2024 Cycle The $1 200 workshop fee was significant but the experience was thorough. The bench test was fair and the faculty genuinely wanted to see how I worked not try to trick me. Hialeah s clinic is impressive.
